Important RAW Up(dates) and Notes - May 2019 Edition

Hey everyone,

Some quick updates and important dates to be aware of from now until mid summer.

1) As we mentioned in the workout last night, Under Armour is doing a 30 Day Challenge encouraging people to get fit and active heading into Global Running Day (more on that in a second). In doing so, they've asked us to use the tag "StartTogether" and encourage folks to both get amped up for Global Running Day as well as use the MapMyRun app.

2) Global Running Day is on 6/5 (a Wednesday night) at 6p. The Statesman and High Five Events have asked us to have a really good showing/force there and we'll have a tent and will raffle off a couple of Under Armour items as well. We'll post all the details relevant to RAW and more in future emails, but in the interim you can

, a RAW Running OG has stepped up yet again to help out High Five Events and

and he needs your help. If you could spare your morning on 5/27, Stewart needs some volunteers for the aid station. If you sign up, H5E will donate $500 to BTT and even more depending on how many volunteers we end up having. He could also use a few items, like a badass wireless stereo for the morning jams

4) Patrick Hitchins and his team at

are testing a *new product/feature* as we mentioned last night at the workout and we need your help to help get him some feedback. Almost everyone was wearing a Garmin, TomTom, Nike Watch, iPhone or whatever -

5) Jack Murray has graciously opened up his house for the RAW Summer Party again. This has become a fun tradition where 1/2 of you call in sick the day after. So we're giving you plenty of heads up this time as it will be more fun, bigger, and better this year. We'll be doing a normal workout, however, it'll be on the east side followed by a party at Jack's (IH-35/Riverside) on

July 2nd

. Which means you'll need to take the 3rd off. We'll start the workout at our normal time, but you should plan to take an Uber/get a ride to the workout that night if you plan on even having 1 beer. Don't be an idiot.
