In case you're not clear on what it means, here's a little education for you...

Pronunciation:

fart·lek -- /ˈfärtlik/

Origin:

1940s: from Swedish, from fart ‘speed’ + lek ‘play.’

Definition:

a system of training for distance runners in which the terrain and pace are continually varied to eliminate boredom and enhance psychological aspects of conditioning.

Meeting Spot: Barton Springs Saloon @ 6:55pm or Stevie Ray Vaughn Statue @ 7:15pm

Warmup starts: 7:05pm

Workout: Town Lake Fartlek 10 X 90sec hard/90 sec easy

Workout start point: Stevie Ray Vaughn Statue (we'll head west towards Mopac and loop around to South First bridge)

Post-Workout: 8:30pm Beers at BSS and P-Terrys
