It's relay season crew....Zilker Relays, Marathon Relays and Capital to Coast Relays!! To get ready for the madness to are heading to Pease Park to get after some RAW Relays. You'll get some flat to hammer that speed and some kills to kick that ass. Conditions are calling for 80 degrees and 20-30% chance of rain...a.k.a. HAF conditions.

We are getting relay teams together for the upcoming Zilker Relays (Sept 9th), Marathon Relays (Sept 18th), and Capitol to Coast (Oct 14-15). Use this link to the spreadsheet to sign up a RAW team. Info on each race:

  • Zilker Relays (click for 15% off discount) - 4- Person Relay teams running 2.5 miles each around Zilker Park. Last year we finished 3rd overall and had a bunch of teams representing RAW and winning the after-party.

  • Marathon Relays - 6 person team, each run 4.37 miles equaling a full marathon. Each relay leg starts & finishes from same point on Riverside Drive & follows the same route.

  • Capital 2 Coast - 12 person, nearly 24 hour relay that covers 223 Miles from Austin, TX to Corpus Christi, TX

Workout Details

Meeting Spot: Barton Spring Saloon @ 6:55pm, or meet at Pease Park @ 7:15pm

Warmup starts: 7:05pm

Workout: We’ll break up into relay teams of 3 and incorporate a little speed, a little strength and a little team fun. We'll be running over a 30 min time span (similar to Cap Relays) and the loops will consist of a flat .4 mi loop (about 650 meters) and a 200m hill.

Workout start point: Pease Park, corner of Kingsbury St and Parkway (See attached photo)

Post-Workout: 8:30pm Beers at BSS and P-Terrys

Why RAW?

The reason we started RAW was to bring people together who wanted to bust their ass each week to become better runners and improve their fitness. RAW has done just that. We've all met amazing people and have seen a lot of personal best go down along the way! It's been a great ride so far and we look forwarding continue roll down this road at HAF pace with all of you.
