*Read the whole email as it includes info about the summer party, a new run, and other announcements that affect RAW!
TONIGHTJune 5th, 2018 - Stratford Hills. We're doing to have 2 workouts going simultaneously - one group will be doing 4 repeats and the other will be doing 6. Jack will be leading the 4 repeat group and the 6 repeat group will be led by Nathaniel Milles (boom, now I pressured you into coming!). I'll be bringing water, ice towels, and a cooler to the top of the hill on Stratford so everyone can cool down a bit after each repeat.Next WeekWoodmont Relays RAW AT THE RACESMike Kurvach went to Music City Distance Carnival and concluded his outdoor campaign with a 15:13 5k. http://results.tfmeetpro.com/TimingInccom/2018_Music_City_Distance_Carnival/results_32.htmlANNOUNCEMENTSHello all - there are a few really important and key announcements related to RAW and we'll go over this all tonight againFirst, the email format will change pretty soon and we'll have a new website in the coming days. The website will include a calendar of events and a more central HUB for all things RAW. Secondly, the RAW Summer Party will be at Jack's house on July 3rd. We'll be doing a workout on the boardwalk that day and finishing it up with some hills near his house and then ordering some pizza and swimming in he pool.Third - tomorrow is Global Running Day and our friends at High Five Events are doing an awesome, FREE event that you can click "GOING TO" here and show up. https://www.facebook.com/events/125073401695824/William also wrote a nice blog post on it here: https://youraustinmarathon.com/2018/global-running-day-austin-style/Fourth - on June 19th we'll be racing our friends from RunLab in a 2 mile time trial to benefit Back The Track. On behalf of William and Paras - we're really excited that RAW has gotten so involved in BTT and it'll be nice to defend our turf against RunLab (who, admittedly, took us to town the last time we faced off at the Capitol).Fifth - we have decided to do a #CAF (chill as fuck) run weekly on Friday mornings at 6.30am. We'll be meeting at the Fleet Feet in the Seaholm and while this is going to be our first stab at this, over time the run will grow to be much bigger and will give RAW members and friends an opportunity to have a secondly weekly run and even a morning run if that fits your schedule better. This Friday is the first run we'll do! The idea is we'll run for an hour and break into groups - whether you want to do 3, 4, 5, 7, or even more miles - join us and it'll be a weekly spot where you know people are going to be. Over the course of the year it's going to be much bigger and better!Lastly, Back The Track Relays will be on 7/14 and the 2 mile time trial we do is a little tune up for that. Sign up for BTT Relays...RIGHT. NOW. https://runsignup.com/Race/TX/Austin/BackTheTrackRelays?remMeAttempt=Tomorrow I'll send out another note about Global Running Day and some more details about the Friday run. See everyone tonight at 7pm!***BUY RAW GEAR: Please help fund RAWs efforts to drink more beer and dominate the local running scene by purchasing RAW Gear today!
