RAW's 2025 AIH Aid Station

Important details below for Sunday, Jan. 19

Hey y’all -

First order of business, if you’re running Austin International Half, Houston, Big Bend, or anything else this weekend good luck, crush it, wear your RAW gear, and go HAF! Tag RAW and UARunning so we can share how HAF you went.

If you aren't running this Sunday, then it’s borderline mandatory you be at the RAW IAH aid station (unless you’re Ben Nippes). We just need you to leave it all on the course (HAF), as safely as possible obvi. This is YOUR time to shine!

Please read everything below. There's a ton of instructions, details, and shout-outs. Yes, anything in this email supersedes anything you might've heard or been told by someone else. If you have questions, read this email a second time.

Details

Date - Sunday, Jan. 19

Time - no later than 6:45 a.m. - 11:30ish

Location - 31st and Duval

Weather - it’s supposed to be quite chilly race morning, so dress warm and wear your RAW gear!

Driving/parking - by getting there around 6:45 a.m., you should avoid most of the course closures. If you can, car pool or take an Uber. If you do drive, you will need to park in the neighborhoods as closely as you can to the aid station. You might have to walk. Not that anyone will, but you can’t park on the course. Most Sundays are chill, but check where you park and make sure you’re not in a tow zone or in a place to get a ticket.

Important Details

Shout-out to Mike and Ashley for spending 2+ months planning this massive party and getting trained as co-captains for RAW’s aid station!

Alright y'all, time for the important stuff. Before you read what's listed below, know that you can bring just about whatever you want: costumes, booze, snacks, noise makers, posters, chalk, FRIENDS, whatever else your heart desires, and a TON OF ENERGY. Here's what we'll have:

• 150 breakfast tacos

• beer and liquor

• Ashley’s special Bailey’s coffee

• aid station after party - location TBD by Mike and Ashley

Super Important Details

We'll wrap this up, promise, but this is the most important shit to know.

• listen to Mike and Ashley and anyone they put in charge, they know what they’re doing

• don't be an idiot and doNOT drink and drive

• if you post on social, tag: RAW, UA Running, Austin International Half

• respect the neighbors, houses, yards, cars, etc.

• don't be an idiot, don't ridicule or harass runners, support everyone

• carpool/Uber if you can

• there will be video, photos, live social media, so don't be an idiot

• have fun, represent RAW, and make sure your voice is gone from cheering so much

• REMEMBER, we’re the BEST and FINAL aid station, make sure the runners don’t forget us!
